Shareholders of Banca Transilvania approve merger with Volksbank

Shareholders of Banca Transilvania (BT) approved the merger with Volksbank Romania according to a recent press release.
The President of BT's Administration Council, Horia Ciorcila, stated: “ I thank the shareholders in the name of the Administration Council for the trust they have accorded by approving the merger between Volksbank Romania and Banca Transilvania. I also want to thank the management of the two banks and the mixed team directly involved in the integration endeavor for the effort they are putting in during this period. We respect the promises we have made when the acquisition was announced, we continue to have a responsible approach and are focusing on BT and VBRO's fortes in order to become the best bank for our customers” . After having taken care of the actual acquisition details, the project can now move on to the final stage which will last until the end of the year and deal with all necessary administrative and strategic planning.
