ZTE opens this year a telecom monitoring center in western Romania

Chinese group ZTE will open in Romania a monitoring center for telecom networks in 23 European countries. The service center will be located in a western city in Romania and shall be operational by the end of September 2014, according to Mediafax.

The newswire quotes Lorian Vintila, the General Manager of ZTE Romania, who yesterday attended an event of the industry – “The center will become operational by the end of September, this year, and will have approximately 250 employees. We have already recruited about 220 people who are currently trained. The center will be opened in a city in western Romania and will provide network monitoring services for operators from 23 Member States and non-EU states”, he explained, adding that this project is included in a 100 million euro investment program to be run until 2015. Also, it involves another service center which will be established in the southern region in Romania and a production facility, both to be commissioned next year.

Initially, the service center for which ZTE allocated some 16 million euro, as Govent has previously informed, should have been inaugurated in the first half of the year, Vintila anticipating in late-November 2013 that the entire investment program will be completed this year.
