With the ever changing consumer habits and challenging market environment, shopping centers and retailers need to work creatively to make consumers to open their wallets. We are currently experiencing a fundamental change in shopping habits. 

The trend in retail development is moving away from closed traditional malls towards open and community involving formats, blending into neighborhoods in modern urban developments. New concepts in successful shopping center projects should reflect the living, working and cultural aspects of target consumers.

Join representatives of shopping centers, developers, retailers, real estate consultants, project managers and industry professionals to openly debate on the new retail development trends.

Registration: Conference  participation fee is 59 € + VAT/ person.
The fee includes the participation in the conference sessions,  coffee breaks and lunch, as well as the conference proceedings documents. 
All registration fees mentioned above exclude 19% Romanian VAT.

Registration conditions: The program and the speakers are subject to change. Should the conference be cancelled due to force majeure, unavailability of the conference venue, speakers being prevented or for other good cause, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the conference. In case of cancellation all participants will be informed promptly. In this case, all registration fees will be reimbursed.

Payment: Payment can be made by bank transfer prior to the event. Please take into consideration the limited seats availability, therefore we recommend that registrations are made prior to the week of the event.

Substitution and cancellation policy 

After registering for the Event, if you cancel your attendance more than one week prior to the date of the Event, you will receive a full refund of the amount of your payment. If you cancel within one weeks of the date of the Event, you will not be eligible for a refund; however, substitutions can be arranged with no extra cost from within a company or organization. No refunds for no shows. Cancellation requests must be received in writing.

The Conference Organizer will collect and store your personal datafor the preparation and execution of the conference as well as to inform you about future projects related to your sector and line of work. Ali Ergun Ergen
General Manager, TBE Solutions

Ali Ergun Ergen comes with a vast experience of more than 15 years in real estate, acquired both on the local market and internationally. Ali Ergun Ergen was also Chairman of ICSC Romanian National Committee (2008-2011) and part of ICSC European Advisory Board, time spent to bring substance to the retail industry. In 1998, he decisively contributes to the launch of the first modern shopping center in Romania, Bucuresti Mall as Technical Manager of Bayindir - Fiba Bucharest. Later on, he dedicates his efforts to building the second mall of Anchor Grup, implementing the project Plaza Romania and its own Movieplex cinema. Due to his management abilities and know-how of the real estate and retail market, he is offered the position of General Manager of Anchor Grup. In 2005 Ali Ergun Ergen initiates, as Chief Executive Officer, a new move on the mall chess table: head of strategy of Baneasa Developments, company that operates Baneasa Shopping City.

Tudor Popp
Managing Director, REC Immpuls

Tudor Popp is Managing Partner of REC immpuls, having 20 years of experience in real estate. Tudor is active for 10 years in the Romanian market and has been involved in consulting and project management for commercial development and refurbishment projects.

Sorin Blaga
General Manager, Liebrecht and wooD Romania

Sorin Ioan Blaga is the General Manager of Liebrecht & wooD Romania, being appointed in this role as of January 2016. With over 25 years of working experience, Sorin has had a long and successful career in marketing, management and business administration. He is an action-driven leader with a unique approach to people-oriented management and exquisite customer service, being involved in a wide array of industries, as both client and service provider, on a local and pan-European basis.

Prior to joining Liebrecht & wooD Group, Sorin Ioan Blaga demonstrated his leadership competences as Marketing Director within Philip Morris Romania and Bulgaria, Adevarul Holding and Otter Distribution Romania, as well as VP Marketing, Communication and Corporate Affairs in the Rompetrol Group and Managing Director of Wave Division Group. Sorin studied with the Technical University Gheorghe Asachi, Iasi, Romania, and holds Diploma in Management and MBA degrees from the Open University Business School, UK. Sorin is also a passionate academic lecturer – he has been Tutor within Open University Business School, as well as Associate Professor with the Faculty of Communication, National School of Political Studies and Public Administration, Romania.

Roxana Dudau
Associated Partner, Noerr

Roxana Dudau heads the Real Estate & Energy Department of the Noerr Bucharest office. She is specialized in advising major foreign investors active in the field of retail and construction, as well as banks and major investors predominantly in the automotive sector in their Greenfield investments in Romania. Mrs. Dudau has a large experience in construction and real estate, especially in retail transactions, advising the firm’s clients on their market entry and expansion in Romania.

Frederic Lamy
CEO, Leroy Merlin

Frederic Lamy, graduated from Essec Business School in France completed by an executive program in Harvard Business School, started his carreer in 1994 in Arthur Andersen in Paris office.

He works in Adeo group since 2009 where he has been store manager, product manager, international project manager, CEO for Leroy Merlin in Turkey between 2011 and 2014. Mr. Lamy was appointed CEO of Leroy Merlin Romania in 2014, he has proceeded to the acquisition of Baumax company in Romania. In 3 years time, the company sales have been multiplicated by 15. Today Leroy Merlin is a 2000 employees company achieving more than 1,5 Bn rons sales in Romania with a network of 16 stores in the country.

Frederic Lamy is also Board advisor at CCIFER (Franco-Romanian Chamber of Commerce) and President of the Fundation of the French School in Bucharest

Andrei Pogonaru
CEO Veranda Mall

Andrei Pogonaru is member of the Administration Council of Prodplast Imobiliare, the company which developed Veranda Mall. In 2002, Andrei graduated Winchester College and continued the and continued the studies with bachelor and master degrees in Applied Mathematics at Cambridge University.

Andrei is partner of the Central European Financial Services where he coordinates ‘Romanian Equity Partners’, the investment fund part of Erste Bank. Andrei is also member of the Investment committee of ‘Bucharest Opportunity Fund’ anchored by BCR Bank to invest in Romanian companies. Also, Andrei Pogonaru is member of the Supervisory board and of the audit and financial committees at Transelectrica.

Ruxandra Stoian
Key Account manager, Philips Lighting

Ruxandra Stoian joined Philips Lighting in May 2017 and is responsible for developing projects on Internet of Things for Retail segment, with focus on Philips Connected Lighting solutions such as Indoor Positioning. With over 10 years of experience in Sales Account Management, Business Partner Management and Business Development in complex projects within IT&C market, she is always keen on making things easier and simpler through innovation for her customers.

Bogdan Mugescu
Expansion Director, Fru Fru

Bogdan Mugescu is the Expansion Director for Good People since January 2017. He is responsible for expanding his own retail network for Cooperativa Frufru and Frufru Fresh Corner, and also to develop new projects. Previously, between 2014-2016, he held the position of Specialist Development at the Bucharest Stock Exchange, where he founded the AeRO market dedicated to SMEs and start-ups. Bogdan graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration, Bucharest University.

Florin Popa
General Manager, Vitalis Consulting

Florin Popa is the General manager and owner of Vitalis Consulting, a compnay he established in 2006. Previoussly he was construction project manager at Gleeds Romania between 2004 and 2006. His experience includes planningand coordination for a wide variety of construction projects, including the building of all types of residential, commercial, and industrial structures, roads, bridges, wastewater treatment plants, and schools and hospitals.

Florinel Chis
Director, ARMO

Florinel Chis is an E-commerce expert and Entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in delivering end-to-end solutions for major Online Retailers. He is representing the Romanian E-commerce at both national and EU level as the Executive Director of ARMO - Romanian E-Commerce Association.
