The convention signed between The Russian Federation and Romania in 1996 which regulated the transit and supply of Russian gas through Romania will expire on December 31st 2015. After this date the country will therefore have the right to resell gas coming in from Russia, and third parties will be able to gain access to the pipelines....more »

The US Trade and Developement Agency (USTDA) offered Transgaz 956,000 USD in non reimbursable funding for its gas pipe expansion project. Apparently the deal was signed by US Ambassador to Romania, Hans Klemm and the General Director of Transgaz, Petru Ion Vaduva, on September 24, 2015....more »

The AGRI gas project, as a direct energy transport road from the Caspian Sea right to EU's Franco-German industrial core, between Energy producer Azerbaidjan, Georgia and Romania, is seen as a viable project.
