Industry leaders will debate on the social, health and economic benefits of zero carbon and zero energy projects, exploring structures, models and pathways for developing decarbonized projects, including ESG investments and the economic and environmental value of achieving operational carbon reductions.
This event is addressed to the executive management with a focus on corporate governance and compliance areas.
Registration conditions: The program and the speakers are subject to change. Should the conference be cancelled due to force majeure, unavailability of the conference venue, speakers being prevented or for other good cause, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the conference.
Participation fee return policy:
- if the request for cancellation is made up to 45 calendar days before the event, the amount paid will be returned in full;
- if the request for cancellation is made up to 30 calendar days before the event, 70% of the amount paid is returned;
- if the request for cancellation is made up to 15 calendar days before the event, 50% of the amount paid is returned;
- if the request for cancellation is made less than 7 days before the event, the amount paid will not be returned.

László BORBÉLY is State Counselor, Coordinator of the Department for Sustainable Development. He also held the position of Minister of the Environment, was Minister of Regional Development Public, Works and Housing, state secretary at Ministry of Public Works and Territorial Planning, Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Transport as well as Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee at the Romanian Chamber of Deputies. At international level, László BORBÉLY served as Chairman of the United Nations (UN) Commission on Sustainable Development.

Boualem Saidi joined Bayer’s Romania, Bulgaria, Republic of Moldova Country Group in July 2020, as Head of the Crop Science Division. Since April 1st, 2022, he also took the role of Senior Bayer Representative for the same Country Group. Boualem is an agronomist by training and has been with Bayer for 27 years, mostly in commercial and general management roles, at country, regional and global levels. During that time, he has worked in different parts of the world, learning, and contributing to agriculture development in Europe, Africa and Asia.

A journalist by profession, she chose sustainability, out of passion. Adina Tudor is External Communication Manager within Coca-Cola HBC Romania, a role in which she builds and strengthens sustainability partnerships with the company's customers, for the benefit of consumers.
With 20 years of experience, Adina joined the Coca-Cola HBC Romania team in 2014 and was involved in the development of many of the company's social responsibility partnerships. As an expert in sustainability and communication, Adina also coordinates the non-financial reporting process of Coca-Cola HBC Romania.

Anamaria Stroia-Tilley, Sustainability Manager, Deloitte Romania, is an experienced consultant with a demonstrated track record of working in the sustainability services industry, leading know-how and technology transfer initiatives in a variety of disciplines (climate change, smart cities and urban mobility, sustainable energy, water management, green innovation or climate resilience) for more than 15 years. She participated in many complex projects with multidisciplinary teams and ambitious objectives (e.g. greening of a city or a company).
She managed multiple projects related to carbon footprint calculation and decarbonisation targets.

Horațiu has more than 15 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, where he implemented, developed, and improved waste management systems from drilling and oil extraction activities, both on land and at sea. He also actively took part in projects to construct industrial facilities for drilling activities and to develop ecological rehabilitation projects of contaminated sites in oil refining activities. As part of his consultancy job, he conducted environmental audits and provided assistance in developing, enhancing, and putting into practice environmental management systems.
As Director of the Technical Division at Stratos Management, Horațiu is responsible for providing clients with the greatest advisory support in the area of environmental protection, which they may employ in their current and future activities. In order to support the long-term growth of their businesses, these services entail creating and putting into action strategies to reduce the carbon footprint of the clients.
In addition to performing the duties associated with his position, Horaţiu participates in working groups of the International Solid Waste Association, one of the top professional associations in the world (ISWA).

Oana has seventeen years of experience in one of the most important international real estate consulting companies, offering consulting services for some of the main players in the local real estate market: AFI Europe, Immofinanz, Iulius, One United, Pavăl Holding, Globalworth, Skanska, CTP.
Oana has extensive experience in project monitoring and sustainability of real estate developments, specializing in LEED, BREEAM and WELL certifications, both for new developments and for existing assets. Its portfolio of the last 15 years includes real estate project monitoring reports for financing banks and technical due diligence processes, the projects pursued having an area of 3,400,000 square meters. She has also coordinated LEED, BREEAM and WELL certification processes over the past 10 years for over 100 projects (certified and under certification), totalling approximately 3,100,000 square meters of built area.
Oana is currently the ESG Chief Officer of Colliers in Central and Eastern Europe, and her role is focused on implementing global and regional environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments.

Sergiu has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering and Protection in Industry and a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and Management in Industry . He has more than 7 years of experience in the sustainability field, working on projects which require EHS legal expertise as well as well as supporting companies in setting and achieving decarbonization goals.

Casiana is the founder of Carbon Expert and consultant on the carbon and energy markets on issues related to greenhouse gas emissions, renewable energy and energy efficiency projects as well as CO2 voluntary credits and carbon voluntary projects.

Corina is leading a true transformation inside Auchan, strengthening its sustainability mission since 2019. In her current role she developed sustainability strategies and numerous innovative projects, including some premieres in food retail, such as the implementation of an AI algorithm that supports the company’s fight against food waste and climate change.

In the race to achieve the goal of climate neutrality, the implementation of public environmental policy instruments (including green public procurement) by central and local public authorities is essential. They have a huge purchasing power (10% of GDP in 2020 in Romania and 16% of GDP at the EU level) and, therefore, the products and works purchased have a substantial impact on the environment in the process of production, transport, distribution, use and disposal (through waste generation). By introducing ecological criteria and specifications in tender documents, public authorities have the ability to make a major difference in stimulating sustainable production and consumption.

Roxana Capata is the Managing Director of Ford Romania.

With over 18 years banking experience, Andreea recently joined the Corporate Sustainability & ESG team in order to drive the bank towards achieving its strategic ESG goals, in the same time ensuring support for business lines. Promoting creative thinking and idea generation within the Raiffeisen employees, Andreea is acting as Leader for the digital and sustainable transformation of the bank, driving ESG initiatives, ensuring mentorship, encouraging the use of new technologies and developing a sustainable working environment.

Alina coordinates Sustainability projects within Ursus Breweries, the Romanian market leader in beer industry, building enthusiasm within the team to reach the sustainability objectives of the company. Carbon neutral breweries by 2030 is one of the six pillars of Ursus Breweries Sustainability strategy, along with circular packaging, water reduction, sustainable sourcing, wellbeing and inclusion and responsible drinking.
With 8 years of experience in leading Sustainability transformation in FMCG and building industry, Alina developed a wide perspective on net zero carbon industry challenges and potential solutions.

Catalin Pavel is the Digitalization Department Director at Profi Romania.

Uroš holds a MSc. mechanical engineer diploma degree from University of Ljubljana, Faculty of mechanical engineering, Energy systems and equipment. He has more than 12 years of experience in the energy sector, from application engineer to project manager, and to VP, Energy&Ecology on the energy efficiency, renewable energy implementation projects, smart grids, hydrogen technologies and energy management. His expertise comprises deep understanding of energy flows, energy conversions and systems, and energy efficiency solutions.
Back from his roots of his professional career, also his diploma theme was focusing on LCA of hydrogen production paths, all his work is dedicated to energy systems efficiency optimization and this reducing negative environmental impacts.
He is an expert in carbon footprint calculation and defining, analyzing, and implementing energy efficient, renewable, and environmentally sustainable energy systems.

Catalin Pavel has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry and has been involved in projects across various industries, starting from fashion, moving on to IT services and consulting, then to automotive, and finally, in the last 12 years, in retail. In the last 5 years, he have a keen interest in automating and digitizing processes and have noticed that data is a key factor in increasing productivity, reducing losses, and helping sustainability. His experience has enabled to learn how to manage projects, develop and implement technological solutions, and offer high-quality consultancy.

The Net Zero Carbon Summit 2023 will take place at the Grand Hotel Bucharest (former Intercontinental Bucharest).
