Registration conditions: Should the event be cancelled due to force majeure, unavailability of the venue, speakers being prevented or for other good cause, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the event. In case of cancellation all participants will be informed promptly. In this case, all registration fees will be reimbursed.

Mr. Catalin Marinescu, President of the National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications of Romania – ANCOM will formally open the Awards ceremony with an introductory keynote address to the courier sector representatives. Marius Ghenea is a renowned Romanian entrepreneur, the business man to go to when you have a golden idea, and the person to trust for guidance in case of business challenges. Some of his day to day professional responsibilities include being President for the Romanian Association of E-Shopping; Board Advisor Maastricht School of Management Romania; and Board Member in the Community Foundations Program. Always a member of the business TV show Arena Leilor, co-organizer and lector of the entrepreneurial School for StartUps, he still finds time for writing his first book dedicated to the entrepreneurial field and the Romanian business market: “Antreprenoriat, drumul de la idei catre oportunitati si succes in afaceri”.

Alexandru Petrescu is the General manager of the Romanian Post, the national postal operator in the field of postal offices. He is also the President of the Commission for Preparation and Monitoring of Romanian Post Privatisation Process, appointed via Order of the Minister for Communications and Information Society, as part of the agreement between IMF and the Romanian Government. Previously London based, Alex has been driving prepaid development in the UK and Europe for several years, from various positions in prepaid focused companies, most recently Raphaels Bank.

Marian Seitan is the President of the Romanian Direct Marketing Association ARMAD and the CEO of Mediapost Hit Mail, a full-service Direct Marketing agency he built from scratch, now employing 900 people and whose annual turnover comes to 8 million euro. A scholarship in France opened new horizons for him in 1995 when direct marketing was rather unknown in Romania. In 1997, only six months after graduating from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, he set up his business, originally called Hit Mail. Subsequently, as the French Post acquired 60 percent of the company, it changed its name to Mediapost Hit Mail

Mr. Sebastian Balasescu is the former owner of one of Romania's leading courier service companies Urgent Curier. Balasescu exited from the company he established over 10 years ago in 2014, in a transaction to buyer, Abris Capital Partners, a mid-market private equity fund for Central and Eastern Europe.

Gabriel Ghita is Business Development Manager CEE , at MasterCard Europe. With a background of more than 10 years in the cards industry, Gabriel Ghita has been a member of the MasterCard team in Bucharest since 2007. His main responsibility as a Business Development Manager for Central and Eastern Europe are identifying new business opportunities together with the partner financial institutions and the development of new payment technologies: contactless, mobile payments, solutions for e-commerce.

Liviu Taloi was part of the team who launched today’s most powerful Romanian online store – eMag.ro, where he was a PR Manager for 3 years. Since 2006, Taloi founded the company WebAudit specialized in providing consultancy in electronic-commerce for Romanian online shops. In the last 3 years, Liviu Taloi offered consultancy to more than 20 Romanian online shops. Most of them are now leaders on their market niche.

Linda Vasilescu is a senior associate at A.T. Kearney, a leading global management consulting firm with offices in more than 40 countries. At AT Kearney she coordinated and participated in a number of strategic projects and due diligencies for retail, banking, energy and parcel industry in Romania and Europe. Previously Ms. Vasilescu held the position of General Manager at Capitol Insurance Broker where she coordinated national development & implementation of a banking - insurance cross-selling partnership in Romania. Ms. Vasilescu is a graduate of the Cybernetics, Statistics and Computer Science University, CEU Master of Business Administration, Investment Banking.

Adrian Ion is the General Manager of GovNet Conferences and Publisher for GovNet Romania and Which Lawyer in Romania. He is an entrepreneur with over 15 years experience in media and publishing, being the co-founder of The Diplomat-Bucharest and initiator of several projects in print media and business conferences. Adrian is also the Vice-President of the Romanian Photovoltaic Industry Association www.rpia.ro being involved in coordinating the policy, governmental and private companies communication in the area of renewable energy.

The Romanian Courier Business Awards Gala will be organized at the InterContinental Hotel in Bucharest, Ronda Ballroom.
InterContinental Bucharest is a five star hotel that provides a highclass background for conferences, receptions and other types of events. Located right in the center of Bucharest, it is within walking distance from the Old City – Bucurestiul Vechi. The main subway station and the central bus station are just across the street. There are also taxi ranks directly in front of the hotel.
