The Romanian Energy Efficiency Forum 2016 is a perfect networking platform that will create new ventures and investment opportunities in the area of sustainable and energy efficient program development in a crucial moment for the implementation of the 2012/27/EU Directive to Energy Efficiency.

Substitution and cancellation policy
After registering for the Event, if you cancel your attendance more than one week prior to the date of the Event, you will receive a full refund of the amount of your payment. If you cancel within one weeks of the date of the Event, you will not be eligible for a refund; however, substitutions can be arranged with no extra cost from within a company or organization. No refunds for no shows. Cancellation requests must be received in writing.

Mrs. Corina Popescu is the State Secretary within the Ministry of Energy since December 2015. Previously she held management positions in important energy companies, such as Omv Petrom, E.on or Electrica.

Mr. Gerard Verdebout is the President of Romanian Association for Promoting Energy Efficiency. He is also Innovation and Development Director for Veolia Energie Romania, which he joined in May 2012. Previously he worked for Dalkia in Portugal and Chile.


Dan Dumitrescu is currently Project Manager for ALRO & Director for Vimetco Power; previously he occupied positions of Chief within the Export Department, and also Deputy Technical Manager on Investments. He is an Executive MBA graduate, an expert manager in Mechanical-energy sector, international marketing, negotiation and performance of International Import-Export contracts.

Starting June 2014, Bogdan Balaci joined Philips Lighting as the new general manager for South-East Europe. His main objectives are to develop the business strategically and operationally, including strengthening the company's position as the industry leader in innovative lighting solutions. He is based in Romania and has over 15 years’ management experience in the IT market.

Dana Popp has more than 10 years of Brussels' experience in international communications, EU level advocacy and association management, having extensive knowledge of energy and climate issues, and particularly of the heating and cooling industry. Since 2014, she has been working for Euroheat & Power, representing the European district energy sector, where she manages the development and implementation of the external communications strategy.

Cristina Metea is the Legal and Corporate Affairs Director at Microsoft Romania.

Roxana Sunica is in charge of developing and implementing the strategy and the marketing plan for the first organization authorized for collecting and recycling waste lamps in Romania . She also elaborated and implemented awareness campaigns - e.g.: “Marea Debarasare”, “Ziua Verde 2008”, www.omuletiiverzi.ro, www.coltverde.ro

Leonard Floricica is manager of the energy management department for Upstream. He is responsible for the management of energy used in exploration and production and for drafting specific regulations (standards, philosophies, guidelines and procedures), establishing a strategic vision with a medium-high impact on upstream operations. With an academic background in Energy engineering, Leonard worked in a drilling company before joining OMV Petrom in 1996.

Mr. Catalin Dragostin is the Executive Director of Energy Serv since 1996. During this period, he implemented many energy efficiency projects and contracts with power plants and refineries in Romania and Bulgaria (Petromidia refinery, Pitesti power plant, Petrotel refinery, Neftochim refinery-Bulgaria, Pleven refinery-Bulgaria). Previously he worked for Romanian Energy Authority RENEL, o different positions.

Daniel Grigore graduated Mircea cel Batran Naval Academy being specialized in Electrical Engineering. He is authorized electrician IIIB and project management consultant for smart projects. He used to work as maritime electrical engineer within CNV NAVROM SA Constanta. He joined Luxten Lighting Company SA in 2001, activating as engineer and lighting specialist, then as the Coordinator of the Contract Implementation Department, Head of Electrical Measurements Laboratory and also, since 2015 as technical expert within Energy Management Department. At present, he is Project Manager for Light Smart System – telemanagement of lighting networks - dedicated software for monitoring, management and control of public lighting systems developed entirely by Luxten Lighting Company SA.

Marilena Mantu is the Chief Executive Officer of SE-GES SA for over two years now, and has previously held CEO and CFO positions within Romania Libera newspaper, European Fine Foods, Grand Plaza Hotel in Bucharest etc. She has a Master’s Degree in “International Economic Relations”, Economics, and graduated the Romanian Academy of Economics Studies.

Razvan Copoiu has more than 17 years of experience in energy and industry. Since January 2015 he is Industry Vice President for South & Eastern Europe. He is coordinating the business of providing equipments, services and solutions for the industry sector in 14 countries. Between 2011 and 2015 he was responsible for the Industry business in Romania and Republic of Moldavia. Before joining the Schneider Electric team, Razvan was CEO at Q-Power BV, the Energy Division of RTC Holding (2008-2011), developing energy efficiency solutions based on heat pipes technology for the Energy & Industry Sector worldwide. Razvan graduated the Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages at University Politehnica of Bucharest, with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, completed with a Final Graduation Project at École Supérieure d’Électricité (SUPELEC) in Paris. He also completed several Master of Sciences programs in Metrology and Project Management at University Politehnica of Bucharest, as well as a financial module at ASEBUSS Executive-MBA program.

Marius Nicolescu is Production and Operational Manager CET Brazi for Veolia Energie Prahova since 2007. In the past he occupied executive and operational positions in Romania and abroad in the following companies: LukOil, Rafinaria Astra Romana , ABB Alstom Power , PCC Sterom , Mitsubishi - Toshiba.

Fabrizio Carboni si the CEE (Center East Europe) Energy Practice Manager at SAS Analytical Solutions.

Daniel Boangiu has been in the high tech industry for over 15 years and in the Auto ID industry since 2002. He founded SMART ID Dynamics as a system integrator company with a clear focus on Auto ID technnology specialized in helping companies to consolidate their business through a unified perspective on mobile access to information. Experienced senior executive, both at a strategic and operational level, with strong track record in developing, driving and managing business improvement and development, change management and turn-around.

The Romanian Association for Promotion of Energy Efficiency (ARPEE) is a legal entity that has as a purpose to promote, develop and sustain the activities in the field of energy efficiency in Romania. As founding members ARPEE has nine Romanian private legal entities: ABB, Alstom Power, Dalkia, Elcomex, EnergoBit, GDF Suez Energy, Lafarge, Petrom, PwC.

ESCOROM is a non-profit, apolitical organization that aims to contributing to the achievement of national policy and strategy objectives in energy efficiency and active and constructive support for implementation and enforcement of existing legislation in Romania to the European Union in the field of efficiency energy and foremost, the provisions relating to Energy Service Companies (ESCOs). ESCOROM aims to facilitate the ESCO market definition, standardization, quality level, dissemination and proper information, lobby, specific proposals for legislative clarification in order to contribute to the improvement of trade and services provided to members to potential clients.

OER (Energy Cities Romania) is a non-governmental organization, gathering 36 members, important municipalities and metropolitan area associations interested in improving the energy efficiency in public services, in promoting the renewable energy sources and in supporting the sustainable mobility planning. OER was founded in 1995, being a member of the European Network of Municipalities – «Energy Cities» – since the beginning of its activity. OER is a Supporting Structure for the Covenant of Mayors initiative.

Founded in 2004, the Romanian Manufacturers of Expanded Polystyrene (ROMEPS) is an association that supports the EPS industry. The association is acting under this name since 2011. ROMEPS aims to promote a quality standard for the polystyrene manufacturers and to ensure compliance in the market.
