The National Administration “Apele Române” is a public institution, of national interest, functioning in base of management and economic authonomy for the coordination of the central public authority in the water field. Its structure consists of 11 Water Basin Administrations – organized on river basins, the National Institute for Hydrology and Water Management and the Complex Exploatation Stânca – Costeşti. National Administration “Apele Române” is responsible for managing the waters from the state public domain and the infrastructure of the National Water Management System including reservoirs, flood protection dikes, canals, interbasin water derivations, water intakes and other specific works, as well as the infrastructure of the National Hydrological and Hydrogeological Survey System and the water resources monitoring infrastructure under its patrimony, for the knowledge and unitary management of the surface and groundwater resources at country level.

The Enviroment Fund Administration (EFA) has as main objective the implementation and financing of several types of programmes for sustainable development of Romania that will contribute to improve environmental infrastructure.

We support the funding of 26 national programme categories. The Environment Fund is a financially deductible public fund and the revenues resulting from its activity are also public. In recent years, EFA has funded from the Environment Fund programmes that have increased the implementation and use of renewable resources in pursuit of solar panels, wind, solar, biogas or biomass, hydro and geothermal plants.

The Environment Fund Administration has been designated Programme Operator of RONDINE Programme for Renewable Energy in Romania, financed through EEA Grants, with a total budget of about € 12,000,000 to support both hydro and geothermal development.

The hydropower component aims to achieve initial investment and refurbishment of hydropower plants, with the purpose of extending the production capacity of electricity from renewable sources.For the hydropower component, eligible applicants are public or private commercial entities and for the geothermal component eligible applicants are public or private commercial entities and/or local administrative units/authorities. For public or private commercial entities the grant is up to 50% of total eligible value of the project, and for Bucharest-Ilfov region it is allocated maximum 40% of the total eligible value of the project. For local administrative units/authorities the grant is up to 100% of the total eligible value of the project.

In calitate de Camera bilaterala si organizatie de membri, ea reprezinta interesele firmelor romanesti si germane, cat si pe cele ale membrilor in fata autoritatilor publice, fiind astfel un actor central in dezvoltarea relatiilor economice romano-germane.

AHK Romania a fost infiintata oficial in septembrie 2002 si la ora actuala numara peste 580 de membri. Consiliul Director este compus din 12 membri, pe langa Directorul General al Camerei.

The Romanian Small Hydropower Association is a Romanian non-profit legal person, registered according to the legal provisions. ROSHA is a professional, non-government, non-political association without lucrative purpose. Since 2008 (its founding year), ROSHA is a member of the European Small Hydropower Association – ESHA and benefited by its direct support.
