Smart Retail - Implementing innovation to enhance customer journey

 We are experiencing a fundamental change in shopping habits. The trend in retail development is moving away from closed traditional malls towards open and community involving formats, blending into neighbourhoods in modern urban developments. New concepts in successful shopping center projects should reflect the living, working and cultural aspects of target consumers. 

At this year’s Retail Real Estate Forum on the 17th of October, 2018 in Bucharest, we invite you to debate on the latest retail development strategies and learn about innovation in creating the right shopping environment.

Registration: Conference  participation fee is 59 € + VAT/ person.
The fee includes the participation in the conference sessions,  coffee breaks and lunch, as well as the conference proceedings documents. 
All registration fees mentioned above exclude 19% Romanian VAT.

Registration conditions: The program and the speakers are subject to change. Should the conference be cancelled due to force majeure, unavailability of the conference venue, speakers being prevented or for other good cause, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the conference. In case of cancellation all participants will be informed promptly. In this case, all registration fees will be reimbursed.

Payment: Payment can be made by bank transfer prior to the event. Please take into consideration the limited seats availability, therefore we recommend that registrations are made prior to the week of the event.

Substitution and cancellation policy 

After registering for the Event, if you cancel your attendance more than one week prior to the date of the Event, you will receive a full refund of the amount of your payment. If you cancel within one weeks of the date of the Event, you will not be eligible for a refund; however, substitutions can be arranged with no extra cost from within a company or organization. No refunds for no shows. Cancellation requests must be received in writing.  

Data protection and sharing of contact details

The Conference Organizer will collect and store your personal datafor the preparation and execution of the conference as well as to inform you about future projects related to your sector and line of work. Razvan Gaita is the Country Manager of Portico Investments. Razvan is an expercienced real estate professional, with strong expertise in the retail segment. Previoussly he was general manager of Anchor Grup. Gaita previously worked in the real estate arm of Volksbank, Rosegur Cash Services and also served as managing director of the German company ECE Projektmanagement Romania. Between 2004 and 2006, he was Director of Development at Kaufland Romania and previously held the same position at Billa Romania.

Roxana Dudau
Associated Partner, NOERR

Roxana Dudau heads the Real Estate & Energy Department of the Noerr Bucharest office. She is specialized in advising major foreign investors active in the field of retail and construction, as well as banks and major investors predominantly in the automotive sector in their Greenfield investments in Romania. Mrs. Dudau has a large experience in construction and real estate, especially in retail transactions, advising the firm’s clients on their market entry and expansion in Romania.

Tudor Popp is Managing Partner of REC immpuls, having 20 years of experience in real estate. Tudor is active for 10 years in the Romanian market and has been involved in consulting and project management for commercial development and refurbishment projects.

Raluca Crisan is CEO of Ceetrus Romania. Former Marketing Director of Ceetrus Romania in the period 2013-2017, Raluca is promoted in 2017 as Communication Director for Ceetrus International, where she coordinated the communication activity for the 12 countries and dealt with the development of the new Ceetrus brand, with ● citizens for Citizens. From the new posture, Raluca's mission will be to strengthen, together with the Romanian team, the positioning of Ceetrus as a global urban actor serving communities and cities. Raluca Crişan is a graduate of the Skema Business School in Lille and of Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg.

Ruxandra Stoian

Ruxandra Stoian is Key Account Manager – Retail & Hospitality CEE at Signify, the former Philips Lighting and is responsible for developing projects on Internet of Things for Retail segment, with focus on Philips Connected Lighting solutions such as Indoor Positioning. With over 10 years of experience in Sales Account Management, Business Partner Management and Business Development in complex projects within IT&C market, she is always keen on making things easier and simpler through innovation for her customers.

Alexandru Bratu
Country Manager JYSK

Since 2010, Alex Bratu has been the Country Manager for JYSK Romania and Bulgaria, part of JYSK Nordic, the Scandinavian furniture retailer. The company has rapidly expanded since he became responsible for all the activties that JYSK runs in Romania. From 12 stores in 2010, JYSK now operates 62 stores across Romania. The turnover grew from 60 to 363 million lei in 2017 and the number of employees grew from 100 to almost 800 employees. Before working for the Scandinavian retailer, Alex Bratu was the Commercial Manager for Instersport and he developed the Insterport franchise in Romania. He has a passion for retail, but also for music, and he thinks that music, like retail, is all about precision and numbers.

Andrei Pogonaru
CEO Veranda Mall

Andrei Pogonaru is member of the Administration Council of Prodplast Imobiliare, the company which developed Veranda Mall. In 2002, Andrei graduated Winchester College and continued the and continued the studies with bachelor and master degrees in Applied Mathematics at Cambridge University.

Andrei is partner of the Central European Financial Services where he coordinates ‘Romanian Equity Partners’, the investment fund part of Erste Bank. Andrei is also member of the Investment committee of ‘Bucharest Opportunity Fund’ anchored by BCR Bank to invest in Romanian companies. Also, Andrei Pogonaru is member of the Supervisory board and of the audit and financial committees at Transelectrica. 


Gabriel Tomescu
CEO of BMF Grup

Graduate of the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Gabriel Tomescu, at only 29 years, is CEO and Vice President of BMF GRUP, leader in providing Integrated Facility Management services, covering the whole territory of Romania through its own personnel. Having an experience in FM services over 7 years, Gabriel’s motto is "There are no problems, there are only solutions." Young, ambitious and effective, Gabriel coordinates over 2,500 employees, being highly regarded as a true leader. For Gabriel, nothing is impossible, he loves the job, respects and content each partner.

With over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, senior executive and board member in companies such as Orange, Ikea and Eurolines, Alexandru Rusu leads Doraly's operations as a CEO. Since last year, he has set sail to strategicaly reorganize the group of companies as Doraly has embraced the multichannel approach and managed to launch it's first online marketplace: Built on an unconventional business model, confirms Alex's propensity for asymmetrical angles and high stakes when it comes to scaling start-ups. 


Victor Ugron
Expansion Manager Pepco Retail

Victor Ugron is the Expansion Director of Pepco Romania since January 2018 and is responsible for expanding the current store network. He has joined the team in 2014 as the company started up in Romania. He has close to ten years’ experience in the retail and leasing industry. Previously Victor has been part of the same Pepkor group in Australia as a leasing and property manager.


Mihaela Petruescu
Head of Property & Facility Management Department Cushman & Wakefield Echinox

With more than 13 years of real estate experience, Mihaela is responsible for the Property & Facility Management services of Cushman & Wakefield Echinox, managing one of the largest retail portfolio in Romania of approximately 140,000 sq. m, and being successfully involved in the leasing process of Mega Mall and other shopping centers.

Mr. Ovidiu Budeanu is the president and owner of Arena Mall in Bacau.

Dumitru Minciu is the General Manager of Novart Engineering, a leading company in the field of Design, Project Management, Construction Management and Digitalization services for construction and built space.
