Following the transaction announced on September 1, 2016, Direct One S.A. will take control of Netcity Group SA. the concessionaire of underground fiber optic network in Bucharest, following the agreement signed with UTI and UTI Investment BV  Direct One is the operator of a national network of over 5,500 kilometers of optical fiber. Metalicplas Distribution, member of Pehart Tec Group, controlled by Abris Capital Partners and businessman Ioan Tecar, has finalized a 20 million EUR investment in a new production plant for tissue paper and other paper products.  The project was developed between 2012 and 2015 on the industrial platform of Dej with a 10 million EUR state aid.  The investment created 100 workplaces....more »

Local courier firm FAN Courier, inaugurated officially heir first regional hub in Brasov following a 5 million EUR investment. According to the shareholders of the company, the main role of this hub is to handle almost a quarter of the national parcels. Continental invests 12 million EUR in a 7000 sqm addition to their electric components production plant in Timisoara, reaching a total of 21000 sqm by the end of the year.  The extension will consist of offices, warehousing, lockers, kitchens, sanitary spaces, and, according to Christian von Albrichsfeld, general manager Continental Romania, it will create new jobs: “ this year, we wish to increase with over 1000 employees the research and developing in production”, he says. ...more »

The only recycling industrial park in Romania, Green Group, was taken over by investment fund Abris Capital, after several months of negotiations with the majority shareholders: European Bank for Regional Development EBRD and Global Finance, a Greek fund. Following the acquisition of Cargus and Urgent Curier, and Pehart Tec (paper producer), Abris Capital Partners enters the market of waste management in Romania for a business worth 90 million EUR. Blaxy Premium Resort & Hotel, the largest resort at the Black Sea in Romania with 540 rooms that offers the possibility of purchasing apartments in periodic property regime, launched on the 5th of May 2016 its hotel services, complementary to the periodical property. ANA IMEP, electrical engines producer from Pitesti, and with 49 year history in the national and international markets, was purchased in proportion of 94,8 % by the Japanese From Nidec Corporation, a world class electrical engine producer, listed at the New York Stock Exchange. According to the Romanian company, the owners decided to sell in order to make room for future growth, giving that Nidec uses the highest production technologies, and is oriented towards developing new platforms for the auto, appliances, and industrial engines industries.
