Martifer completes two solar plants in Romania

EPC contractor Martifer Solar, the Romanian subsidiary of Martifer SGPS has completed the construction of two photovoltaic plants – one with an installed capacity of 2.03MW located in Halchiu, Brasov County and other of 3.38MW in Magurele, near Bucharest. The project was developed for Eurowind Energy A/S, Martifer being responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction of the two PV plants....more »
Tinmar draws out a 10 mln euro worth refinancing for a PV plant from GarantiBank

GarantiBank provided a refinancing of 10 million euro to Tinmar, one of the largest private electricity traders in Romania. The amount is for a photovoltaic plant having an installed capacity of 10MW located in Bucsani, Giurgiu County, which is part of an 18.5MW solar park inaugurated this summer. This loan does not cover but 70% of the whole investment worth 15 million euro, being granted for an almost ten-year period, according to a press release from the bank....more »

Yet, the Bucharest’s hospitality industry surely has a distinct point of view – these events are highly important income sources for the industry. Despite an increase close to 60% of the average price of agricultural land over the past two years, Romania is still low-priced compared with most of the European countries. According to Mediafax, a report released by DTZ Echinox indicates an average price of 3.100 euro/ha, a price that is 2 up to 8 times lower than in other states across Europe....more »
