Romania leads the Deloitte Technology top

Romania maintains its first place in the 14th edition of Deloitte Central Europe Technology Fast 50 top which includes the most dynamic companies in the technology sector. This is the third consecutive year Romania leads the top. The success is due to six companies operating in this sector, being a confirmation of their continuous evolution.

The online travel company Vola.ro is the first on top, having a revenue growth rate of about 5.7% during the past five years. Another company, TeamNet International, is listed in two categories of Deloitte’s ranking – Fast 50 and Big 5 where is the third on top.

Furthermore, INSOFT Development & Consulting confirmed its leading position in the Rising Stars section where are nominated companies that showed a rapid development and growth potential. Apart from them, the other finalists from Romania are Crys Computers, SmartTel, Fortech and Ingenio Software.

Companies offering innovative, differentiated technology and services are very likely to get spectacular results over the coming years. Through their performances, our finalists have proven to be part of this elite.’ said Alina Mirea, partner in the Audit practice of Deloitte Romania during a press conference.

Deloitte Central Europe Technology FAST 50 gathers the most dynamic technology companies in the area, based on the rate of revenue growth within the last five years. Besides that, in order to be considered for this top, companies must have reported annual revenues of at least EUR 50.000 per year, be located in Central Europe and be controlled by local entrepreneurs that have been on the market for a minimum of five years.

As in previous years, the finalists will be also nominated for the Technology FAST 500 EMEA, the top including companies from Europe, Middle-East and Africa. The awards ceremony is going to take place on November 28 in London.
