The renewable energy division of Energias de Portugal, EDP Renovaveis continues the development of wind and solar parks and currently has projects of over EUR200 million in Romania. During the first half of 2013 EDPR added 28 MW of operational projects in Romania and another 144 MW under construction. Out of a total of EUR104 million invested in the first half of this year, EUR84 million were allocated for the European markets, particularly Poland and Romania, and the rest to the North American market. The Portuguese company will invest over EUR216 million to develop its 144 MW projects in Romania.
