Automotive product company Faurecia innaugurated the fourth factory of the group in Romania follwing a 12 million Euro investment. The plant is estimated to generate around 700 jobs said Hagen Wiesner, Executive Vice President of Faurecia Automotive Seating. For the next year amother 600 jobs will be created and production will be increased from around 280,000 trims of textile and leather upholstery estimated to be manufactured this year. Faurecia is one of the largest suppliers of automotive equipment in the world and provides products for some of the world's leading manufacturers in the automotive industry, such as Peugeot, Renault and Volkswagen automotive brands.
The production plant sits on a 12,000 square meters plot, owned by the French company. Faurecia also has factories in Talmaciu (Automotive Seating, covers), Craiova (Emissions Control Technologies) and Pitesti (Interior Systems).
