The
temporary reduction of state support for renewable energy producers starting
July 1 is showing its first effects and the sum investors will have to recover
for July reaches about EUR14 million. According to data published by power grid operator Transelectrica for
July, investors received some 607,000 of the 968,000 green certificates they
were owed, with the remaining 361,000 to be granted after 2017. Data from
energy exchange OPCOM shows that for July the average trading price of green
certificates was around EUR40 per unit, which means investors no longer
received certificates worth EUR14 million from the energy produced last month.
Around 60% of this amount was owed to investors in wind projects, while 32% was
supposed to go into the pockets of solar energy producers.
