ANRE okays the Monitoring Methodology of the Regulated Market

The 'Monitoring Methodolgy of the Regulated Electricity Market' has been approved by ANRE (the National Energy Regulatory Authority). The monitoring framework is based on the requirements stipulated by the Law no. 123/2012 on electricity and natural gas.

The Law mainly concerns ANRE and emphasizes its obligation to continuously monitor the effect of the regulated market on the competitive electricity market as well as its obligation regarding the detailed assessment of the functioning of the electricity market. That, considering the regulated tariffs are going to be eliminated and ANRE is therefore supposed to monitor end-providers in terms of supplying electricity without discrimination, under conditions of quality, transparency and for reasonable prices.
