The Board of Directors of Electrica SA has appointed Dan Cătălin Stancu to the position of CEO, who will assume this responsibility as of October 24, 2016 informs the company in a press release. Dan Cătălin Stancu succeeds as CEO Iuliana Andronache - CFO, who assures the interim since March 2016. Dan Cătălin Stancu (53 years old) is a top executive with an experience of over 26 years in electricity and natural gas, of which 19 years were spent in Electrica Group (1990-2009), during which he held several senior positions, including that of Director of Corporate Affairs and Privatization. Also, over time, he was a member of Boards of Directors of Electrica Muntenia Nord, Electrica Distributie Transilvania Nord, Electrica Transilvania Nord, E.ON Moldova and CEZ Oltenia. Since 2009, Dan Cătălin Stancu worked at E.ON Romania, where he held the position of Director of Strategy and Corporate Development and also a member of Boards of Directors of E.ON and E.ON Romania Renewable Distribution. Dan Cătălin Stancu is a graduate of the Energetics Faculty from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, also holding an MBA from Sheffield University, and a diploma in Management from the Open University Codecs, all in the UK.
