Direct foreign investment in Romania amount to one billion EUR more than in January-August 2014

According to the Romanian National Bank,
direct foreign investment in the country amounted to approximately one billion
EUR more than in January-August of 2014.
This encouraging rise was supported by
resident direct foreign investments amounting to 2,299 billion EUR for the first
eight months of the year.
Compared to July there has been an
obvious rise in direct foreign investment. From 2,084 billion EUR in the first
seven months of the year to 215 billion EUR. At the same time, compared to the
first eight months of last year there has been a rise of around one billion
EUR.
Looking back it would seem that the
highest level of foreign investment so far was reached in 2008, amounting to
9,496 billion EUR.
