Ion-Toni Teau took over the CEO position within Transelectrica, after the Transmission and System Operator and Stefan Doru Bucataru, who formerly held this function had mutually terminated the agreement, is announced by a company release. Teau had been previously the President of Transelectrica’s Supervisory Board and the mandate in the new position ends once the period for which Bucataru was initially appointed expires.
Teau is President of Romania’s Chamber of Tax Consultants and he also served as general manager within Lasselsberger S.A. București or Sanex S.A. Cluj-Napoca. He has a PhD in economics, as well as professional experience in the academic field within the Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.
Transelectrica replaced him with Carmen-Georgeta Neagu who has been member of the Supervisory Board until now and who has been promoted in Teau’s former position. She graduated the Faculty of Power Engineering within Bucharest Polytechnic University and has an extensive professional experience in the energy field. Since January 2014, Neagu is shareholder and CEO of Peria Capital, a consulting and business management company, before that, between 2005 and 2012, being Executive Director of GE Energy for South-East Europe.
Following these changes, the company’s Board of Directors will continue focusing on the ongoing investment projects and on streamlining operating and financial costs, in accordance with the direction established by the Management Plan and Budget for the 2014-2016 period.
