Endava appoints Eoin Woods, formerly UBS executive, as new Chief Technology Officer

IT services organization, Endava has appointed Eoin Woods from UBS to take up the newly created position of CTO (Chief Technology Officer).

In this role, Woods will be in charge with defining technical direction within the firm and to key clients, by identifying emerging technical trends and discerning how Endava can help clients to capitalise on the opportunities that they present, according to press release.

I’m looking forward to working with our talented technical staff in Romania, Moldova and Macedonia, to support them in developing our leading-edge capability that drives the quality and efficiency of our clients’ technology and platforms. The work I’ll be doing with our CEE sites includes setting technical strategy for the group, ensuring that we have the right tools and technologies on our projects and tracking emerging technical trends that will impact our clients,” commentedEoin Woods.

Formerly Head of Technical Architecture for Group Operations Technology of UBS, Eoin Woods had previously held other senior positions within the company. His professional background also includes experience in capital markets, gained within Barclays Global Investors, as well as in software product development.

Eoin Woods has already begun a series of visits to all Endava delivery centres in Eastern Europe. He met with Endava’s technical teams in Cluj at the end of February and has other visits scheduled in April and May to Iasi and Bucharest offices.
