Schneider appoints Ionut Farcas as Vice President of the domestic Energy Division

Ionut Farcas is the new Vice President of Schneider’s Energy Division, formerly under the leadership of Florentina Toth who was promoted to President of the company in February 2014.

Before joining Schneider Electric, Farcas had worked with Enel for eight years where occupied several positions in the regulatory area, as well as marketing, procurement, planning or project implementation.

Thus, within the past two years Ionut Farcas served as Head of Romania Service Area & Director Enel Services after leading the sales operations of Enel Energie and Enel Energie Muntenia (2010-2012) and acting as Project Management Officer Global Business Services within One Company Project by Enel Spa Rome (2011-2012).

In the new position, he will be in charge with coordinating the Energy Division team which provides products, equipment and electric power distribution solutions.

Ionut Farcas is a graduate of the ”Vasile Alecsandri” Faculty of Engineering from Bacau where also completed a master degree in Marketing (2004-2006). Additionally, he benefitted from an Engineering Erasmus scholarship in Genoa (2000-2001)and at the ”Italo Calvino” Technical Institute (2001-2002), in the same city.  In 2009, Farcas completed a leadership programme in Energy Management within Barcelona’s IESE Business School and at the Faculty of Management within the ”Bocconi” University in Milano.
