While in London for the official launch of Romgaz’s GDRs (Global Depository Receipts) trading, Romania’s Prime Minister Victor Ponta took the opportunity and met possible investors interested in Romania’s business sector. Thus, after opening yesterday the trading on London Stock Exchange, celebrating the premiere recorded by Romgaz which became the first Romanian company listed on a foreign stock exchange, Ponta attended a roundtable meeting with financial advisers and British investors that showed interest in business opportunities here in Romania.
As stated by a brief release from the Government’s press bureau, there were representatives of major companies attending that meeting, companies such as: City of London Investment Management, FP – Proprietatea Fund which is managed by the UK asset management group Franklin Templeton Investment Management Ltd., Bank of New York, Citigroup, Credite Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Erste Group, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, SocGEN, UniCredit, Wood&Co, CMS Cameron McKenna and Romgaz deal.
