Abris Capital Partners enters paper business with the acquisition of MG Tec

Investment fund Abris Capital grows
it's investment portfolio in Romania with the acquisition of tissue
paper manufacturer MG-Tec. The transaction is subject to sell a stake
in the paper division of MG TEC Group, which includes companies
Pehart Tec, Metalicplas Distribution, Metalicplas Impex and
Samus Constructii.
As part of the transaction, Abris will
take over the 25% stake held by the European Bank for Reconstruction
and Development (EBRD) at Pehart Tec factory in Petreşti (Alba).
The transaction is subject to approval of the Competition Council,
reads a release issued by the investment fund. Abris Capital Partners
was advised by Clifford Chance Badea in the transaction while Bondoc
and Associates law firm assisted the seller.
Arbis Capital is at
it's third transaction in Roamnia, after the acquisition of Cargus
and Urgent Curier. The business of 114 million euro in
2013 and over 1,000 employees founded by businessman Ioan Tecar
produces tissue paper, toilet paper, kitchen towels and napkins, the
best known brands of the company being Pufina and Alint.
