The companies have won the construction bid, submitting an offer of 8 million euro (36 million lei), below the estimated cost of the project (some 12 million euro, as per the details available on Tetarom’s website) and have been assigned 20 months for completion.

The industrial park will be located in Feleacu village, near Cluj-Napoca, covering an area of 86 hectares, half of it being destined to a photovoltaic park, according to a press release, yet additional details have not been revealed. Project financing is provided from multiple sources such as the budget of the County Council, the state budget or EU funds.

Tetarom, a company controlled by the Cluj City Council which holds over 99 percent of its capital, manages other three industrial parks in Cluj area, Tetarom I, II, III, the latter, as well the largest one, attracting additional investments of 200 million euro from companies located there among which Bosch, Transcarpatica or Star Storage. Discussions with investors interested to establish production facilities in Tetarom IV will be initiated once the construction works are carried out.
