After about one year from the beginning of the construction works, Macromex’s Edenia Distribution Center will become operational this April, once the trial period ends. The logistic center is located in Campia Turzii, Cluj County, a key-location allowing deliveries in Romania as well as throughout Europe in approximately 24h, according to a media release.
‘The total investment came to 17 million euro, being bore from internal resources along with financing provided by BCR. It is a welcome investment both economically and socially, Campia Turzii region having great potential in terms of skilled manpower.’, is stated by the said press release.
With an area of nearly 7000 square meters, the distribution center destined to the storage of frozen products from Macromex’s portfolio has a capacity of 17000 pallets consisting of several key-areas: a High-Bay warehouse, a storage area for pallets, a picking area and finally, a sorting and shipping area for pallets. The project is based on the concept of an international logistic expert, having a modular structure so as to allow further extensions.
