International Investment Bank issued 111 million RON worth of stocks and shares on the Romanian market

On October 15th 2015, the International
Investment Bank opened the Romanian Stock Exchange business
day. This was done in celebration of its having issued
shares which attracted around 25 million EUR from the Romanian
market. According to Agerpres, general Director of the
Bucharest Stock Exchange, Ludwik Sobolewski, vicepresident of the International
Investment Bank and General Director of Banca Transilvania, Denis Ivanov were
present at the event. Some of the biggest players on the
Romanian Stock Echange according to recent trading data are:
Fondul
Proprietatea, SIF Transilvania, Banca Transilvania, SNGN Romgaz, BRD Groupe
Societe
Generale, and, SNTGN Transgaz. In its September
2015 monthly report, the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) noted that
“the international
context and the evolution of markets in the last couple of weeks determined
investors on the Bucharest Stock Exchange to be more cautious. Thus the trading
value carried out on all the Main Market’s segments was almost RON 582mn (EUR
131.6mn), out of which the largest stake was covered by the trades carried out
on the equity segment (RON 466.5mn – EUR 105.5mn)”. All listed companies on the Bucharest Stock Exchange amounted to a market capitalization of 31.8 billion EUR at the end of September.
