Dentons assisted Erste Group Bank, Raiffeisen Bank and Banca Comercială Română in connection with RON 750 million facility agreement for Societatea Energetica Electrica

Dentons assisted Erste Group Bank AG, Raiffeisen Bank S.A.and Banca Comercială Română S.A. in connection with a RON 750 million facility agreement for Societatea Energetica Electrica S.A., one of the leading players in Romania’s electricity distribution and supply market. Electrica plans to use the facility, which corresponds to roughly EUR 150 million, to finance the implementation of its strategy for the period 2019-2023.

A mixed team, led by Simona Marin, partner and head of Dentons Bucharest banking and finance team, working closely with Loredana Chitu, partner and head of capital markets and with Sandra Constantin, key member of the banking and finance team, advised the finance parties on all stages of transaction from term sheet to signing, including capital markets aspects related to an option for bond issuance for refinancing purposes.
