Dacian Eagle military exercise gathers over 600 Romanian and US troops in Campia Turzii

The Dacian Eagle 2015 military exercise
continues the tradition of Romanian-American exercises conducted at
Campia Turzii and it is designed to increase training and
interoperability of the attending personnel. The exercise will be an
opportunity to drill on standard techniques, tactics and procedures
related to air operations in accordance with NATO standards by
conducting joint flights with the US partners, the Ministry
reports.
Nearly 600 Romanian and US troops will
be attending, July-September, Dacian Eagle 2015 exercise to be hosted
by the 71st Air Base of Campia Turzii, the Romanian Defence Ministry
(MApN) reports.''Attending the bilateral exercise will be some 300
Romanian troops, pilots and warrant officers with six MiG-21 LanceR
aircraft and five IAR-330 Puma SOCAT and MEDEVAC helicopters of the
71st Air Base, as well as 300 American troops with 12 F-15 aircraft
and related servicing technique.
