Ana Hotels, the largest hospitality company in Romania considering its revenue (28.3 million EUR in 2015, and 2.9 million EUR profit), is announcing investments worth 20 million EUR in its properties in Bucharest.
The plan includes complete renovation of the rooms in Athenée Palace Hilton starting 2017, and also erecting a new hotel building with approx. 70 rooms, and a 900 sqm conference hall, both next to Hilton.
The investments will be supported by the major shareholder of the company, with the funds and dividends resulting from the recent sale of ANA IMEP electric engine company to Nidec.
Ana Hotels consists of seven properties in Bucharest, Poiana Brasov, Eforie Nord and it was founded in 1996 by George Copos. Last year, the company invested 4 million EUR in its properties Crowne Plaza Bucharest and Ana Hotels Sport in Poiana Brasov. By the end of 2016, a Boutique Spa will be inaugurated within Crowne Plaza Bucharest and starting 2017, the conference center will be expanded and renovated.
