Sigfox, the world's first Internet dedicated to IoT, launches in Romania

Sigfox, the world leader in IoT (Internet of Things) technology, was launched in Romania through its local partner Simple IoT. Romania joins over 60 countries already part of the network benefiting from the mass use of IoT technology.

Sigfox, the French company set up in 2010, is the world's largest IoT network in terms of covered markets, its wide range of applicability and the number of dedicated device manufacturers. Currently, by expanding in the 60 countries, Sigfox will serve the needs of IoT connectivity in territories with a population of over 1 billion people.

Nowadays, in the Sigfox ecosystem there are over 700 devices from over 650 companies, and their number increases exponentially. The network operates in the free spectrum for use by European regulations, and all operators in the Sigfox network are interconnected in a single network.
