EGP gets a 200 million euro loan to partially cover investments in Romania

Enel Green Power (EGP) enters into a loan agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for 200 million euro meant to partially cover investments into Romania’s renewable energy sector. The 15-year loan will support part of the investments EGP plans for some wind farms in the Banat and Dobrogea areas in Romania and follows on a total of 600 million in financing arrangements from the last three years.

EGP is an Enel Group’s subsidiary operating in the field of energy generation from renewable sources. Being present in 16 countries in Europe and Americas, the company has 740 plants, a mix including solar, wind, geothermal and biomass power plants with a total installed capacity of nearly 8.700MW. In Romania, EGP is present in both wind and solar sectors, having an installed capacity of almost 500MW in wind technology and 36MW in solar PV.
