Five Romanian companies in Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 EMEA 2013

Romania improves its performance in 2013, increasing to five the number of companies listed in the Deloitte Technology FAST 500 EMEA 2013 ranking, compared with the previous two years when there were four companies ranked: Vola.ro (ranked 17), TeamNet International (217), Crys Computers (333), SmartTel (487) and Fortech (491). 

Deloitte’s annual program ranks the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies from 24 countries in the EMEA – Europe, Middle East and Africa – region, depending on percentage revenue growth over a 5-year period. This year’s average revenue growth rate shows a slight decrease compared with the one registered in 2012 (1.403% over 1.549%). 

In order for a company to be eligible for Deloitte’s ranking, it must have been operational for at least five years and have had base-year operating revenues of at least 50.000 euro and current year operating revenues of at least 800.000 euro. 

French company YMagis leads the top with a growth rate of 59.096% securing France’s domination which is still the most represented country for the third consecutive year – the 2012 ranking was also lead by a French company, Criteo. Based on the overall presence, France is followed by the United Kingdom and Sweden.
