Dedeman expands its chain-store across Romania with a new store located in Ploiesti, to be open this Friday, December 13. The store, which is the sixth one inaugurated in 2013, increases to 36 the number of the units the retailer owns throughout the country. The Ploiesti store has a built area of 15.000 m2 and employs 184 people.
Based on a 15 million euro worth investment, it has been carried out after the recent opening of another unit located in Targu Mures, earlier this fall. By opening six new stores this year, the company aims to increase turnover by 10% over 2012 when it amounted 540 million euro, according to a press release.
Dedeman, Romania’s leading retailer in the building materials and interior fittings sector is a privately-owned company founded in 1992. The company has over 6.600 employees working in its 36 units in Romania, with a portfolio including over 45.000 products and covering 11 fields.
