Smart ID Technology acquires the majority stake in AB Systems

This marks the third transaction completed by Smart ID, following the acquisition of Total Technologies announced in December 2024, one of the leading Honeywell technology integrators for industrial automation in CEE, owning the only Honeywell Excellence Centre in the region, as well as the 2022 acquisition of Sceptrum, the Romanian leader in ERP software solutions.

This transaction highlights the strong complementarity between the two companies in the field of automated solutions. By integrating AB Systems into its portfolio, Smart ID strengthens its ability to provide end-to-end solutions to clients in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, retail, and automotive. AB Systems’ expertise in RFID technology will be incorporated into Smart ID’s platforms and solutions, unlocking new growth opportunities and accelerating innovation in emerging market segments.
