Aversa invests 15 mln euro this year to expand its operations

Following the progress recorded since its privatization in September 2013, Aversa Manufacturing, Romania’s single centrifugal pumps manufacturer, plans to extend its operations this year when aims to build a new plant. The facility, supported by an investment of 15 million euro, will have an area of 25.000 m2 and will include 3D design technology, higher-performance equipment so as to increase efficiency and lower the production costs, is stated by a press release sent towards Govnet.

After seven years of insolvency, Aversa has seen a boost in its sales over the past few months. While during the last nine months of insolvency the company’s sales amounted to nearly 200.000 euro (900.000 lei), solely the beginning of this year brought sales worth almost 4 million euro (18 million lei).

According to the same press release, at the end of the last quarter in 2013, Aversa has started receiving export orders from Russia, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil and Ukraine, thus the orders being currently negotiated totaling about 9.3 million euro (42 million lei).

Focused on consolidating the company and expanding its sales strategy into other European countries and developing markets, Aversa runs discussions with potential partners from China or the United States in order to possibly establish a joint venture.

The developing and expansion plans have been confirmed by Aversa’s President, Michael Topolinski who also expressed his satisfaction with respect to the recent evolution of the company - ‘We are very excited about the growth and expansion of the company up to this point. Romania provides the production field with many competitive advantages compared with Western European countries.(...) We believe that Romania has a higher investment potential. Aversa Manufacturing will continue investing in its plant, products and employees, in order to ensure the company’s strategic development on long term.’

Aversa Manufacturing, which is the only manufacturer of centrifugal pumps in Romania operates in this field for over 132 years, trading products destined to infrastructure and irrigation sectors, as well as to energetic and petroleum industries. Insolvent for seven years, the company was privatized last September, successfully resuming its production.
