The medical services operator will run this year a new regional development program, in this respect having established an investment budget of some 6 million euro. Also, after revenues of 72 million euro and an operating profit of 10 million euro last year, the company anticipates a turnover between 81 - 83 million euro corroborated by a operating profit 20 percent higher than last year.
MedLife allocates 4 million euro of the said budget for opening four new clinics in Galati, Iasi, Constanta and Cluj-Napoca, respectively, according to company’s representatives, who anticipate that all these investments will be completed by the end of the year.
‘Although 20 years have passed since investments in private health units in Romania started, none of the major operators has managed to cover all historical regions, much less all cities with over 250.000 inhabitants. In our position of leader of the private health services market, we aim to achieve this goal and become the first medical operator having national coverage. We have already started investments in two hyper clinics in Galati and Iasi which are going to be inaugurated within the first half of the year. The investment program will continue in the second half of the year when we plan to complete the other clinics in Constanta and Cluj-Napoca. We are also running advanced discussions on continuing with an aggressive expansion nationwide in the coming years as well.’,Mihai Marcu, President of MedLife’s Board, explained.
Besides this, the company maintains its focus on renewing its medical imaging and laboratory equipment, having a 2 million euro budget at disposal in that regard. In addition to its expansion strategy, MedLife seeks to introduce a new facility for its clients this year – MedLife Health Card, meant to ensure an easy access to their medical backgrounds through any device connected to the Internet.
MedLife has been operating in Romanian for 18 years, being the leading operator of private health services market, the company covering a wide range of medical services, such as: hospitals, maternity hospitals, laboratories or drugstores.
