Bert Fol left Russia for taking over the leadership of Radisson Blu Hotel, Bucharest, the
largest five star hotel in the country. He replaces Yilmaz Yildirimlar who has been promoted
as Regional Director Park Inn Hotels in Russia.
This is not Fol’s first
professional experience in Romania, as between 2003 and 2005 he held the
managing position within another upscale hotel in Bucharest, Athenee Palace
Hilton. He has more than 30 years of working experience in the hospitality
industry of which 22, on leadership positions within big hotel chains across
the world.
His priorities
following his appointment as General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel in Bucharest
are to consolidate the hotel’s leading position in the domestic hotel market
and to keep up with the same high standards and possibly improve them.
Inaugurated in 2008,
the hotel owned by Bucuresti Turism has over 700 rooms and is located in downtown Bucharest, being one
of the best rated hotels of Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group in Central Europe. In
2010 it was awarded the “Hotel of the year” prize within the group and last
year the hotel received the award for “Best Conferences Venue of the Year” on
the luxury hotels market segment at the Excellence Awards Ceremony of the Hotel
Tourism & Leisure Investment Conference.
