The Cluj County Council has announced the expansion of the Tetarom I industrial park which will increase its surface by 12 hectares, supported by an investment of 42 million lei, without including the VAT. Horea Uioreanu, the President of the County Council today signed the related contract so as construction works will be initiated in about two weeks, being scheduled for completion in 17 months.
Total investment
allocated to this project comes to some 10 million euro when adding the VAT,
amount of which half is provided from European funds – the European Fund for
Regional Development, while the other half represents the contribution of the
County Council. The initial investment was also secured from European financing
and covered an area of 20 hectares.
Last month, the Cluj
County Council concluded the contract with four entities as associated companies
to develop the fourth Tetarom park, an investment of about 36 milion euro based
on the winning-offer at the construction bid.
Tetarom, a company
controlled by the Cluj City Council which holds over 99 percent of its capital,
manages all the industrial parks in Cluj area, Tetarom I, II, III, the latter,
as well the largest one, attracting additional investments of 200 million euro
from companies located there, among which Bosch, Transcarpatica or Star
Storage.
