Companies controlled by the Romanian State, such as Hidroelectrica, Bucharest Airports, Oltenia Energy Complex and Constanta Port, will be listed on the stock exchange as per the Government’s related-programme, said Prime Minister Victor Ponta, according to Mediafax.
“As the Bucharest Stock Exchange saw continuous development in 2013 and 2014, I very much look for this to continue in 2015 and 2016 and the Government’s involvement, either in terms of legislation or at decisional level as concerns the listing of companies still in its portfolio, to support the development of the capital market”, stated Ponta who today opened the BSE’s trading session, as quoted by the newswire.
The Social-Democrat leader also indicated that he is aware that the structural reform of the capital markets should be eventually finalized, and as he was asked to speed up the adoption of a law to facilitate capital market operations, ensuring greater transparency and openness to capital flows, Ponta assured that such a document will be issued, reads the same source.
