Bulboaca si Asociatii will represent MSI in the privatization of Romtelecom

Romania's Ministry of Communications and Information Society (MSI) chose Bulboaca si Asociatii law firm to provide legal support in the privatization of Romtelecom. The ministry decided in favor of the law firm upon analyzing all five offers submitted, the main decision factor being the pricing of Bulboaca si Asociatii services, which is more convenient compared to those of the other four candidates, shows a press release.

Bulboaca si Asociatii will be consequently in charge with offering legal assistance to MSI in the privatization process: 'Thus, the legal counselor will have duties such as: providing legal assistance to MSI in issuing regulatory documents required in order to complete the privatization process; analysis and elaboration of legal opinions regarding the documents issued by the consultant chosen by MSI to finalize the privatization process; checking legality or compliance with the applicable legal provisions of documents issued by the consultant; identifying legal solutions in order to correct any issues arose in the privatization of S.C. Romtelecom S.A.'

The process of privatization of Romtelecom has been accelarated upon a Government meeting in July 2013 when there was decided its completion. Then it was adopted a Government Resolution to modify and complete the Government Resolution no.727/2005 concerning some measures meant to carry out the privatization, according to the same press release.
