Angelo Zuccala, named as General Manager of Crowne Plaza Bucharest

Angelo Zuccala is the new General Manager of Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bucharest, announces ANA Hotels, the franchise holder.

He has gained an experience of 19 years in the hospitality industry, the last 12 being spent within InterContinental Hotels Group, which owns the Crowne Plaza brand, where he has specialized in sales, food&beverages, and operations management.

After occupying leadership positions in two InterContinental locations - in Egypt and Malta, respectively for about four years, in 2012, Zuccala was appointed as Executive Assistant Manager at InterContinental Hotel in Bucharest. 

“I am happy to join Crowne Plaza Bucharest’s team in such a favorable moment, after the substantial refurbishment of its rooms, when investments destined to the fitness area, the pool, and conferences and ball rooms are also to be launched (…) We are going to bring new, interesting, and innovative Food & Beverageconcepts on the domestic market, both in-house and out of the hotel, such as the catering service, for example,” commented Zuccala, as per a media release.

The refurbishment of the hotel’s room will be completed by the end of this year, investments amounting to EUR2.2 million. The next phase includes the fitness and pool area, as well as the re-opening of the terrace of the Citronelle restaurant, while next year, the conferences halls will be renovated.
