Liviu Dragnea resignes from the post of Minister of Regional Development and Public Administration following a one year prison sentence

Liviu Dragnea announced that he resigned from the position of Minister of Regional Development and Public Administration and will submit its mandate as executive
president of the PSD, following the Supreme Court's decision to sentence him to one year of probation prison in the case of fraud in the referendum of 2012 to the dismissal of President Traian Basescu.
He said that he still considers is not guilty, but noted that the court's decision. Dragnea also said he did not know how can an election be held if turnout is considered by a court as undue advantage and praised the court's decision in his case represents a dangerous precedent that could affect democracy and freedom parties to urge people to come to vote.
