Italy’s Nordelectrica Impianti was selected to build a 6.65 MW photovoltaic park for Productie Energie Verde, a company owned by local businessman Vladimir Cohn.
The project will generate electricity that will be used by another company owned by Cohn, corrugated board producer Ecopaper and the surplus will be sold on the market.
The first IPO on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in five years, the public offering of 10% in Romania’s state-run nuclear power producer Nuclearelectrica was received with interest from small investors. Small investors subscribed 2.3 times mores shares than they are offered at the IPO and allotted 90 million lei (EUR20.1 million) by 05:00 p.m.. They may subscribe 10% of the 25.3 million new shares the company wants to sell.
Even in these turbulent times for Renewable energy, PV plants are being constructed. The juwi group just started the construction of two PV plants in Romania. The plants are situated near the towns Satu Mare (North-West Romania) and Butimanu (approx. 50 km north-west of Bucharest). They are being built by the Italian juwi subsidiary juwi Energie Rinnovabili Srl in cooperation with the Bulgarian subsidiary juwi Solar GmbH in Sofia.
